About us

The Welfare Rights Centre is an incorporated community organisation that provides free and independent information, advice and advocacy on several areas of law across the state. The Centre also runs the Housing Legal Clinic for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

We are partnered in our mission by state government grants, the South Australian legal fraternity, community organisations and volunteers. We provide up to date information about tenancy matters, Duty Solicitor services to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and the South Australian Civil and Administrative Appeals Tribunal, outreach to metropolitan, regional and remote South Australia and support and training for other professionals with clients who have tenancy and social security issues.
